But their 14-year age gap is an issue and once we switch to Dean’s POV things take a decidedly predatory, sinister turn with the way he thinks/inner monologues about three-year-old Fallon and grown Fallon. If this had stayed in Fallon’s POV, perhaps it would have worked. I wanted to like this because I completely empathize with Fallon’s love for someone out of her reach, we’ve all been there once or twice right?
